This has been one of the most difficult seasons I've had. At the same time, we've gotten through it as a team and we've given ourselves another chance at winning the Division III state championship.

The main thing was to get the win.

It's not about me. If I score no points and we win, I'm happy.

I want to play both spots well. If you can play the point, though, you can play just about anyplace.

That's probably our toughest thing. We came out fast (vs. Beckley), a lot of dunks, real exciting. Sometimes I wish we wouldn't start out that well, because we start wanting to please the crowd and not play at our tempo.

It's been a big up-and-down week. But we did the job tonight.

It's been a pretty up-and-down week, but I've got a great family, coaches and friends who helped pull me through it. I apologized to my teammates for missing the game. ... We have a lot of people who don't want to see us succeed, and we overcame a lot to win our second straight state championship.

It's a great honor, but it's not about individual accomplishments. It's about team goals. I've got great teammates. They make things a lot easier.

It was a whole lot closer than I thought.

They are a well-coached team, but we just come out and do what we do.
